A special thanks to Greg Mirsky for several offline comments and discussion, and to the IPPM and BMWG working groups for additional comments during IETF 123. The main updates in the current version compared to version 09: - Clarified the "Hybrid" definition and the overlap with "In-Data-Packet" (following comments from Thomas Graf and Giuseppe Fioccola in IETF 123 IPPM). - Added specific example of hybrid as a mixture of active and passive (following comment from Thomas in IETF 123 IPPM). - Added clearer examples of Active/Passive/Hybrid/In-Data-Packet, specifically explaining the difference between Hybrid and In-Data-Packet (following comment from Giuseppe in IETF 123 IPPM). - "In-Packet" changed to "In-Data-Packet" (following Greg's offline comment). - Clarified that "In-Data-Packet" examples are IOAM and AM when used in data packets (following Greg's offline comment). - Clarified that VCCV refers to Type 1 (following Greg's offline comment). - Moved most of the "in-band" examples to appendix (following Greg's offline comment). - Added clarification about measurement protocols vs. other OAM protocols (following Greg's offline comment).
