True. The option to autossh in rc.opsview-slave disables the monitoring port (-M 0). The documentation (http://www.harding.motd.ca/autossh/README) suggests using openssh's ServerAliveCountMax and ServerAliveInterval options instead, which we do. Can you like try with the -M set to a specific port number?
