Hi there.

Had a couple of these this morning (374 seconds, hour later 4274
seconds, recovery 5 mins after) and was just wondering the relevance
of this check.

I assume it compares the "created=unix time" value between status.dat
on the master and that on the slave.

Either that or it compares the "created=unix time" value on the slave
to its local time and announces when it's gone "stale".

Does an out-of-date "created" value in status.dat signify anything
particularly problematic ? Does it suggest the nagios instance on the
slave is not updating this file which in turn suggests it's not
running correctly ?

I have a sneaky suspicion it may be to do with the latency between our
master and slave and that the actual issue was that the check didn't
receive a value in return.

Does this fit with the reported alert ? If so, can I increase the
timeout value of the check ?

Thanks very much.
