Hi there.

According to the docs here...

http://docs.opsview.org/doku.php?id=opsview3.0:snmptrapconfiguration#distributed_snmp_trap_processing

...if I wish to process traps from a host which resides on a network
monitored by a slave (that is, a network which is distinct from that
containing the master) then two things need to be configured:

1. The host should be configured to send traps to the slave.

2. The host should be monitored by the slave.

I can confirm that these steps have been done.

The docs then state...

"Opsview will make sure that the SNMP trap configuration file is sent
to the slave on the next reload. Any MIBs promoted via the web
interface will also be sent to the slaves."

And this is where I have a couple of issues.

I cannot see the /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf file on the slave. I assume
this is what the first sentence above means. Is that correct ?

No MIB files which I have promoted on the master have been copied to the slave.

Can someone advise what should happen / what steps I can take to get
this working ?

Thanks very much.
