Greetings,

I am still getting these errors and cannot trace back the cause. NRPE
appears to be working fine (all of my checks are successful). The only
common thing is that all of the hosts that get this error are 64 bit and
running the 64 bit agent.

My OpsView server is 32 bit.

Should I just run the 32 bit agent on my 64 bit servers?

Can anyone else confirm this is an issue or perhaps offer a solution.
It appears to be a false error message, but it fills up my logs and I
would like to stop it.

Thank you very much.

Greetings,

Has anyone else seen the following:

I am running both Red Hat and CentOS versions 4 and 5. On my 64 bit
boxes (with 64 bit opsview agent installed) I am seeing repeated errors
in /var/log/messages:

(nrpe[21451]: Error: Could not complete SSL handshake. 1)

So far I have not found a single instance of this error on 32 bit Linux.

Does anyone have a fix for this or know what the problem is? Funny
thing is that everything seems to work OK.

There is an entry in the Nagios FAQ for this (which explains it better
than I could... :-) - http://www.nagios.org/faqs/viewfaq.php?faq_id=191
