We are currently on Opsview version 3.04 and today for the first time in a while I went to modify a Nagvis map.

If I try to add a new host or service to a map the hosts show up in the hostname drop down but the drop down itself is grayed out and you can’t seem to save changes.

Searching through the archives I found where there was a Nagvis problem somewhere between version 3.04. and 3.05 and Duncan said a problem was found and fixed, but I’m not sure what that problem was to begin with.

Does anyone know if this was a known issue that had a workaround?
I am getting ready to train someone on the Nagvis portion soon so hopefully there is a fix for it.

I put a fix into 3.1 - basically there was a bracket in the wrong place -

 diff -ur nagvis-1.4rc3.original/nagvis/includes/classes/GlobalMapCfg.php nagvis-1.4rc3/nagvis/includes/classes/GlobalMapCfg.php
 --- nagvis-1.4rc3.original/nagvis/includes/classes/GlobalMapCfg.php	2009-05-06 15:46:43.000000000 +0100
 +++ nagvis-1.4rc3/nagvis/includes/classes/GlobalMapCfg.php	2009-05-06 15:47:15.000000000 +0100

-+				if (typeof(aObjects[i].oid != "undefined" && aObjects[i].oid != "")) {
++				if (typeof(aObjects[i].oid) != "undefined" && aObjects[i].oid != "") {

3.1 also has an upgraded nagvis which fixes other bugs
