I've been tasked with adding a lot (around 300) of service checks into Opsview, essentially each one a different SNMP OID that I have in a spreadsheet.

The Opsview API doesn't seem to have a way to ideally add these checks in, I'm having a little trouble manually decoding the entries in the MySQL db, and making custom POSTs over telnet does not seem to be a good way to proceed.

Does anyone have any solutions for this - or is it just a case of sitting down for a few hours and hand-typing them in?

Sorry, we haven't extended the API to cover service check definitions. We're open to any offers of sponsorship here.

You could amend the db directly. If this is a active service check, it should just be the args column. If this is an snmp polling type, then it is the servicechecksnmppolling table you need to change. Change at your risk though!
