OK - it seems that via a service check using the "SNMP Polling" type you _can_ then click on the links generated by an SNMP walk and populate the OID field.
Unfortunately however this service check does not seem to generate an RRDtool graph - or at least there's no funky graph icon next to the service name when viewing the host. Can I confirm if "SNMP Polling" type checks will generate RRDtool graphs ? Or will I have to use an "Active Plugin" type check and use "check_snmp" instead - which presumably is a similar way to provide the same result.
