But is SNMP data accurate?

What I mean is - how "old" is the data?

 

Also I would like to have a mean value.

>From what I found SNMP query will give me a CPU usage of one specific
moment. 

On the other hand we have NSClient++ which does some nice averaging .

This OID will give you that: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2 (just snmpwalk it and
you'll see the % for each one of the cores).

How can I monitor every core separately on Windows and Linux machines?

NSClient++ only monitors the average of all cores.

I need that data for performance testing done before migrating to virtual
machines.
