Forgot the perl script header. Doh!
From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Robin Minto Sent: 13 August 2009 17:49 To: [email protected] Subject: [opsview-users] Custom SMS notification I'm new to OpsView and looking to migrate an existing Nagios installation but I'm having trouble with SMS notification. I've written a perl script which posts to our SMS provider (Sybase365) using LWP. The script works from the bash shell but I'm having trouble hooking it up to OpsView. It's installed in /usr/local/nagios/libexec/notifications. The docs (http://docs.opsview.org/doku.php?id=opsview3.0:notificationmethods) say /usr/local/nagios/plugins/notifications but that doesn't seem to tie in with the implementation. I've added a new SMS notification method, configured the system preferences to use that method and I've reloaded. When I try "Send test SMS" from the contact page I get "No output. Exit code 2". I've tried removing the script (which gives exit code 255) and reducing it to a simple form - print and exit (gives exit code 2). Any suggestions what to try next?
