Thanks Andrew, but how do I do that? On the Opsview form where I define a host, giving it an IP address, name, description, etc. there is a field, right above 'Description:', labeled 'Monitored By:', and my choices (at the moment) are 'Master Monitoring Server', and 'Slave Cluster A'. I see that field when I create a new host, and when I edit an existing one.
That 'Monitored By:' field is missing when I am creating or editing a monitoring server (It tells me in red, at the top of the page, "This is a master monitoring server" instead). Is there another place to specify that? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] on behalf of Andrew Hall Sent: Wed 9/30/2009 5:31 AM To: opsview-users Subject: Re: [opsview-users] What should happen when the opsview master dies? Why not monitor the master from the slave ? Then when the master goes down the slave will inform you. _______________________________________________ Opsview-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.opsview.org/lists/listinfo/opsview-users
