Hello! Tried to add a comment to the opsview blog, but it doesn't accept my text (special chars?), so I blogged it and share this with the list:
Ton explained¹ how to modify NRPE for large output. But if you use a distributed environment with master and slave nodes the large NRPE output has to be forwarded to to the master using NSCA which limites the plugin output to 512B. So you have to patch and recompile NSCA to get your big 16k-NRPE ouput displayed and processed by the master.
