nothing with reverse tunnels either. looking at the nagios.log file it appeared as if the slave thought it was the master server – running a real-time tail on the nagios.log file was scrolling the screen faster than I could read it. I just removed the nagios directory and refreshed the slave software and things appear to be working now.

I can log into the web interface on the slave and see that everything is working properly – just not transmitting the information to the master. any ideas?
