I managed to get this working after restarting MySQL. I¹m not sure if there
was a stale table lock or something like that (I¹d previously done Œunlock
tables;¹ with no change in behavior.)

<shrug>

Thanks,
Mike

Subject: [opsview-users] ndo2db/file2sock not importing ndologs

I¹m seeing an issue today where the NDO logs are not being imported into the
database. In doing some straces, file2sock is running and sends some amount
of data over the socket to ndo2db, which receives it. But, then file2sock
just gets hung on a write() call, and ndo2db never actually puts anything
into the database.

We are on 2.14.1 and I just recently upgraded the master server to CentOS
5.4. The NDO import was working following the CentOS upgrade, and has more
recently stopped working.

I am really in a bind here, as our monitoring system is essentially down.
The slave servers are still sending email alerts, so we can monitor that
way, but the GUI is useless.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
