I only tried this in testing just to see if it would work but I'll wait to see if you guys come up with a better solution before I do it for real.

Of the various methods i tried (dpkg-divert, etc) the easiest way I found was to..

  dpkg -r --force-all opsview-base
  aptitude install opsview
