Hi Matt,
saw your post in the archives, so I decided to hop on the waggon :)
Linux servers and other SNMP devices are fine:
[nag...@dsludolf ~]$ /usr/local/nagios/bin/query_host -t -H 10.0.0.41 -C
public
<data>
<host sysContact="Matthias Grimm <[email protected]>"
sysDescr="Linux dscln01.renzel.de.isb 2.6.18-128.1.10.el5.centos.plus #1
SMP Mon May 11 07:04:58 EDT 2009 x86_64" sysLocation="Serverraum">
<interface id="1" ifAlias="" ifDescr="lo" ifLink="up"
ifSpeed="10Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" />
<interface id="2" ifAlias="" ifDescr="eth0" ifLink="up"
ifSpeed="1000Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" />
<interface id="3" ifAlias="" ifDescr="eth1" ifLink="up"
ifSpeed="1000Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" />
<interface id="4" ifAlias="" ifDescr="eth2" ifLink="up"
ifSpeed="1000Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" />
<interface id="5" ifAlias="" ifDescr="bond0" ifLink="up"
ifSpeed="10Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" />
</host>
</data>

Hi Matthias
I have the same issue which was supposedly fixed by a new relase of the
query_host script yet I have not found this to work.
Posted a couple of replies to the list a week or so ago but yet to get anything
back to get it working. Seems to be working fine for my switches and routers
just not the servers :(

Subject: [opsview-users] Problem with query_host on 3.5.0 and Windows
Hello list,
I've installed, from repository, and configured 3.5.0 (CentOS 5.4 i386)
on friday. Everything is fine but when I try to get SNMP-Data from my
windows server I'll get:
query_host returned invalid XML:<data> <host sysContact="Matthias
Grimm" sysDescr="Hardware: x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 4 AT/AT
COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows Version 5.2 (Build 3790 Multiprocessor
Free)" sysLocation="Serverraum, neu, 4. Schrank"> <interface id="1"
ifAlias="" ifDescr="MS TCP Loopback interface" ifLink="up"
ifSpeed="10Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" /> <interface id="65539" ifAlias=""
ifDescr="Gruppe: BOND 0" ifLink="up" ifSpeed="2000Mbit/s" ifStatus="up"
/> </host> </data>
Calling 'query_host' from commandline reveals this:
[nag...@dsludolf ~]$ /usr/local/nagios/bin/query_host -t -H 10.0.0.43 -C
public
<data>
<host sysContact="" sysDescr="Hardware: EM64T Family 6 Model 23
Stepping 10 AT/AT COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows Version 5.2 (Build 3790
Multiprocessor Free)" sysLocation="">
<interface id="1" ifAlias="" ifDescr="MS TCP Loopback interface"
ifLink="up" ifSpeed="10Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" />
<interface id="65539" ifAlias="" ifDescr="Gruppe: BOND 0"
ifLink="up" ifSpeed="2000Mbit/s" ifStatus="up" />
</host>
</data>
Which looks fine for me, but may the xml-parser gets confused by the
interface id by 65539?
Cheers
Matthias
