"Nothing prevents you from adding the functionality you need to your current SMS script" I agree, we have a custom sms script method and we pass keyword agreements through the SMS Number field which alter the behavior of the SMS script.
For instance: My Email Contact in ospview would be vc3.com_james.whittington Our SMS script pulls in notification name and type based on keywords in the SMS Number field. SMS Number "name:long" would use the contact name field (in this case it would be translated as a email address) and long would have a longer message (brief format would be sms friendly). For our helpdesk gateway SMS Number help:brief would alter the subject and message in a format that our helpdesk system understands. Anyway that's one way to make 1 SMS script do different things.
