Hi folks I just upgraded from 2.14.1 to 3.5.1 on my debian etch host by following the guide [1] in the docs. Everything went really well until I reconnected to the browser UI only to find out that all my hosts and their config is gone! General settings in opsview itself are also lost.
Before all this, as suggested, I ran a full backup on nagios and opsview-web folders and the mysql db, therefore the mysql deamon wasn't running during my actual upgrade 'aptitude install opsview'. After I figured that out I started mysql in the background and the upgrade continued fine. Is it possible that the installer didn't detect any current configs in the database and therefore created new ones? Can I restore the database (from version 2.14.1) using the restore guide now [2] ?
