I bet you are seeing delays with the Nagios runtime database getting updated
check results..
Just a guess though.
You might try look through your opsviewd.log for any import_ndologsd entries to
clue you in to if there are delays with info getting written to the runtime
database.

Here is a example of a what I am talking about:
grep "import_ndologsd" /var/log/opsview/opsviewd.log

[2010/02/01 15:08:20] [import_ndologsd] [WARN] Import of 1265054758.512662,
size=5995, took 113.10 seconds > 5 seconds

I'm pretty sure the status screen would be calling the Runtime database amongst
others things as well.

Subject: [opsview-users] "status" pages being very out of date

All-

Our status pages "https://opsview.compudyne.net/status/"; are frequently very
out of date.

Example: I'm looking right now at a host status page
(https://opsview.domain.net/status/service?host=hostname), and all of the "Last
Checks" are showing 2010-02-02 03:10:57 (or close, within a few minutes) but I
just got an alert on the Tunnel8 interface being critical, and if I clink on
that Service Check
(https://opsview.compudyne.net/cgi-bin/extinfo.cgi?type=2&service=Interface%3A+Tunnel8&host=hostname),
 I see "Last Check Time: 02-02-2010 08:38:58".

In my other tab (at https://opsview.domain.net/status/service?host=hostname), I
do a refresh for good measure, and it still lists Status OK last check time
2010-02-02 03:10:57.

The status.dat file shows a last check of 02-02-2010 08:38:58 (well, it shows
epoch time in UTC, but..).

So, I'm not sure when/how the status pages get their info, but mine our out of
wack. Where shall I look to diagnose this issue?

Thanks!
Ryan
