We haven¹t been following it very closely, but we have no plans to move away
from MySQL.

My personal opinion is that Oracle won¹t close the source or stagnate
development, because if they did there would be such a huge backlash from
the community.

Subject: [opsview-users] MySQL and Oracle's acquisition of Sun

Is anyone concerned about the future of MySQL with relation to Oracle's
acquisition of Sun?

We're monitoring the situation and we will move to a different Open Source
database if this becomes necessary, but there are no plans to change in the
short term.
Feedback from the community influences our decisions so let us know what
you're thinking.
