Is it possible to add in the new/next release an extra field on the Host
configuration form.We want to use one Service_Check, but with different
values.I will try to explain in the example.
For example:
This is my service_check to check the file size of the log file.
check_nrpe -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -c CheckFileSize -a ShowAll MaxWarn=50M MaxCrit=80M
File=$ADDRESS1$":\\Lotus\\Domino\\Data\\Log.nsf"
Because I am using this check for more than one server, and not all the servers
installed on the same location, so now I need to trick this with parameter
"$ADDRESS$" (because I am not always using this field), to set for this example
the driveletter in field Other Hostnames/IPs ("$ADDRESS1$") of the Host
Configuration form.
Now is it possible to use one Service_Check, but for each host the
service_check is a slightly different.I told you that I now using a trick to
this.
But it is not always possible to use field $ADDRESS1$, sometimes I need to use
some other field to do this trick.And it is not possible to use all characters
in field $ADDRESS1$.
So, I hope you can understand me.
So my opion is to add for example "Extra Attributes" field to the host form.
Or maybe you have some other great solution to do the trick.
