ooh, thats a bit generalised. sure, if you are using VMWare then the system has its own special clock handler and emulation code - theres a tonne of documents covering this. if using VMware you shouldnt use NTPD, instead you install the VMWare tools onto the OS and then ensure that the host is synced to the master host (which is NTP'd) - again, lots of documents for it. for better virtualisation, such as Xen or KVM, you can pretty much treat the guest OS as you feel.. ;-) alan _______________________________________________ Opsview-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.opsview.org/lists/listinfo/opsview-users
