I got a web CGI error from opsview that advised me to post to this list. The problem occurs when I click the "Re-schedule the next check of this service" link from the "Status > Detail > Host: $HSOTNAME$ > Service: %SERVICENAME%" page. Rescheduling service checks works fine for other services.
