I'm using opsview-3.5.2.3891.
I want to create some users and restrict them to a host-group.
Ok, I can do that in the configuration of every single Contact but
I would prefer to create a Role, assign this host-group to this Role
(CONFIGUREHOSTS) and assign the Contacts to this Role.

The host group restriction here is a restriction of which hosts can be configured.

But if I do that and I log in with a "restricted" user I can see and access still
ALL host-groups in Host Group Summary.

Did I overlook something ?

The host groups a contact can see is based on the host group tick boxes.

I've recently updated the page explaining the access control:
http://docs.opsview.org/doku.php?id=opsview-community:access

If this isn't clear, I'm happy to take suggestions on what would make it clearer (alternatively, you can take the online training course presented by yours truly! http://www.opsera.com/products/opsview/opsview_training.dot)
