Thank you ton,

ive other questions in addiction on let us know when the new version will be
available to be installed.
the other questions are:
is there then a way to notify a whole host and their services with sms in exception for one or two services where is enought to know a critical state only by email? in example some servers are important for all services but for raid service i know in case of failure i must receive a critical but not by sms cause i know i can see this issue the next day. the other services must be notified during the night in case of failure. is it now or in verion 3.7 available? Last but not least: its possible to place a host in two different hostgroups? this could me allow to create hostgroups based on customers and create an addictional customer24h hostgroup where for only certain hosts of all my customers i should receive sms in addiction to the mail notifications. we use this approce for our pure nagios installation. any idea?

thank you!!

simon

The other thing we had to tweak was notifications for critical
hosts/services. For those, we want the whole team to get all alerts
starting from the 1st. To get that working, we duplicated the
contacts. Lets say 'User' and 'User - Critical'. Using host groups, we
assigned regular hosts to 'User' and critical hosts to 'User -
Critical'.

It's not pretty but gets the job done.

This has been a limitation of Nagios for a very long time. I'm happy to
say that we've solved this issue in the upcoming Opsview 3.7.0.

We're introducing the concept of a "notification profile", which means a
contact will have access information (host groups / service groups /
keywords), and then a set of notification profiles which then provides a
subset of their access (again in host group / service group and/or
keyword selection) with notification methods. This allows a very
flexible way of assigning notifications.

We're still testing this at the moment, but it is looking good!
