Dear, I think Opsview is a great monitoring tool, however, but plugins for LINUX agent lack in some area( arbitrary check result output or perfstring format, No cpu usage% and network traffic without SNMP etc..)
I love http://search.cpan.org/dist/Sys-Statistics-Linux/ module. it's like a assorted gift set for monitoring linux system. so I made some plugins( cpu %, network iface traffic ) with it for futher monitoring. FYI, It seems that Sys::Statistics::Linux module author ( http://search.cpan.org/~bloonix/ ) make and runs own company for monitoring system ( http://www.bloonix.net/ ). he already made a lot of refined linux plugins ( http://download.bloonix.net/sources/ ). Could I expect opsview to buy his company or hire him to improve opsview's product quality futher ?
