Hi all,

I checked docs, forums, googled around, everything I could possibly do
before posting this

I can't install opsview slave server on Centos 5.4

I followed master install procedure EXACTLY as per documentation, each and
every step

Master and slave are identical machine (hw & sw) running centos5.4 (i386)
fresh install

[r...@myhost ~]# cd /usr/local/nagios/tmp && ./install_slave

gives

Can't access neither configuration file
/usr/local/nagios/nmis/bin/../conf/nmis.conf, nor /etc/nmis/nmis.conf

Further investigation reveals that install_slave in turn calls

system("su - nagios -c '/usr/local/nagios/installer/postinstall slave'")

and this fails.

- sudo settings are correct, as per documentation.

-  id nagios shows:

 uid=500(nagios) gid=500(nagios) groups=500(nagios),501(nagcmd)
context=user_u:system_r:unconfined_t

-  selinux is disabled

I'm getting pretty frustrated, started from scratch a couple of times (OS
+ opsview) , accurately following each and every step, same result

Any clue, anyone ?

Has anybody successfully installed 3.9 slave on centos ?

Thanks
