Hi All

Hoping someone will be able to offer some advice. We have a host from a
manufacturer with an odd SNMP interface that I'm trying to monitor with
Opsview. This host has a whole load of OIDs we wish to monitor, however the
points only appear in an alarm state - ie - they're normally - 'External
command error: Error in packet Reason: (noSuchName)'.
The only persistant point lets us monitor the number of alarms (returns an
integer).

Ideally what I'd like to be able to do is either:

- Monitor all the points, but have the non-response not be an error
- Only monitor certain service checks when the 'number of alarms' service check
is critical

I've read http://docs.opsview.com/doku.php?id=opsview-community:servicecheck
and related pages, but can't work out the best way of doing what we need. Any
ideas?
