Fwiw vista has bitlocker, which encrypts partitions or the whole hard disk. Unfortunately it requires a trusted-platform-module to work, in its default configuration. It is however possible to also use bitlocker with just a usb drive (to store the key) by simply changing a group policy rule. >>Besides that there are a bunch of closed/proprietary software for swap >>and/or system partition encryption: BestCrypt and PGP Whole Disk are >>the best from my expirience I would like to add utimaco safeguard easy to that list. - -- GnuPG-Public-Key-ID: 0xC655EE46 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (MingW32) iD8DBQFHWaewyx23GcZV7kYRAu5oAKC8fXEZxAcRi7T3sPG+WSPHTv3qoACfTs9u tT/QnquFLkxVPANKHYPzDrU= =BqFF -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
