I took your advice and installed 64 bit Linux on my new Blutmagie hardware. Besides 64 bit interface counters look much more imposing. For the sake of performance the server is equipped with a C2 E8600 desktop cpu instead of the default socket 775 Xeon. After some discussions my box mover Thomas Krenn made a special offer, selling it without Xeon cpu. Altogether I've spend 1200 euros, so hopefully it won't be confiscated by german police shortly :-) http://www.thomas-krenn.com/de/server-systeme/2HE-rack-server/2HE-intel-single-cpu/rm217-server.html Olaf -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkm74DUACgkQSztjZ/BwLe0MbQCaAlNN4IK7njDWfWfi0hNA0PIc gM8An2LDYwZdAKzpKVkOHyY58P1z2Sny =Q73w -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
