My personal opinion (and I'm the author of Polipo) is that all content munging should be done in the browser -- munging in the proxy is a broken design. Unfortunately, the browser vendors care more about functionality than privacy. > Properly-configured extensions help a lot here. I'd rather see privacy features in the browser core, not slapped-on as extensions.
