CONTRACT ONLY 6 - 12 month contract Location: Columbus, GA. Rate: $60.00/ hr all inclusive. * *** *Notes from the Manager:*** We need candidates who are not so application focused. Items like VMWARE Design, Data Center Virtualization, SAN Design and Implementation, Enterprise WAN design and implementation, enterprise storage encryption etc... Not just a focus on the application stack. * *** *Job Description:*** Enterprise Architect will be accountable for analyzing and designing the enterprise infrastructure architecture to meet the business and technical requirements. This includes creating and maintaining documented standards, assessment of new products and methods, developing and implementing appropriate IT Infrastructure practices across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization on infrastructure architectural is critical. * *** *Your core duties and responsibilities include the following:* · Design and direct governance activities to ensure compliance with the application and enterprise architecture. · Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, policies and standards. · Define and maintain technology and integration models, and the conceptual and logical application and infrastructure patterns and services. · Provide the expertise and guidance to peers, leadership and associates on the overall infrastructure architecture as it relates to the business and IT strategies. · Act as an advocate for insuring that the infrastructure aligns with the overall enterprise architecture principles, policies and standards. · Serve as the infrastructure architect in the analysis, design and planning phases of the IT related projects. · Working with the other IT groups, develop and maintain an infrastructure roadmap that provides reduced overall complexity and increased cost efficiency. This roadmap should allow for the re-usability and adaptability of our infrastructure. · Provide leadership and direction through technical subject matter expertise. · Develop and maintain the infrastructure strategies that results in efficient and effective use of our infrastructure information technology products and services. · Document the infrastructure architecture environment and procedures to insure our infrastructure remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality. · Maintain expertise in the area of architecture, including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure that the company’s assets are effectively and efficiently utilized. · Provide technical IT expertise to, and assist in, the selection of new hardware and software platforms which assists in attaining the enterprise architecture principles, policies and standards. · Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex and intractable problems. · Provide advanced implementation for complex projects. * *** *Education/Experience:* An Enterprise Architect should have a four year degree in Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent work experience as well as a minimum of 10-15 years related experience with emphasis in enterprise infrastructure (Windows, web services, UNIX, JAVA, architecture, security, Linux, OS X, Network Routing/Switching, HA Design, SOA, SOBA, TOGAF, software development).
