A prime candidate will have experience working with various IT verticals such as security, networking, hosting, and platforms, along with multiple AA business units and external application or services vendors, all in multiple geographic locations. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to the CRE & International teams, which assume technical ownership of their applications and provides 24x7 support for the production environments, if required. Specifically, this position will involve analyzing existing applications running on legacy hardware and software in various environments. Requirements for the application’s continued usage will be gathered from the business unit’s application owners. From those requirements, you will assist the assigned application architect to develop an architecture plan which will leverage the use of shared IT systems and zoned security architecture. The position will be responsible for execution of action items and coordination with the applicable internal IT verticals and external IT service providers that are required to implement the approved infrastructure architecture. The position will also coordinate with external application vendor(s) to migrate application(s) from legacy environments to its new environments. Once complete, the position will coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the external application vendor and the business unit to validate that the new implementation meets and/or exceeds the original agreed upon requirements for the migration. Finally, significant contributions will be made by this position throughout the migration process to fully document the application and infrastructure’s components as per pre-defined standards from AA’s IT Project Management Organization.
