Job Title : Cisco Network Engineer Location : East Rutherford,NJ Duration : 6+Months US Citizen/Green card ONLY *****For Immediate feedback please forward your resume to p...@vforceinc.com************* ShareThis Services or Detailed Task/Work Requirements Typical Duties: · General maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents in the environment · Resolve all network issues assigned to the network team · Drive problem resolutions to ensure business continuity · Determine root cause analysis for all network problems · Improve quality and ensure consistent and timely resolution of incidents · Implement necessary steps to prevent future incidents · Audit network devices to confirm network policies and guidelines meet or exceed targets for successfully audits Perform change management (CM) role on all network devices. Implement network change requests based on CM processes Design and build all network solutions according to client requirements on time and within budget Review and validate design of network systems Install all network components Document processes in accordance with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) requirements Skills Required The following skills and experience are mandatory: · Minimum of 5 years of network experience · Extensive experience upgrading and installing Nokia/Checkpoint firewalls · Extensive experience supporting and troubleshooting Nokia/Checkpoint firewalls · Experience maintaining Cisco ASA VPN devices · General knowledge with switching and routing · OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, and TCP/IP Protocols · Cisco IOS and routers (2800,7200,7600) and Cisco switches (3500, 4500) · Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, GigE, and Fast Ether channel · Excellent troubleshooting with Firewalls/VPN tunnels · Follow-up and attention to detail with great customer service skills · Professional, responsible attitude and work independently · Work with remote, matrixed teams · Extensive written documentation (processes, user guides) The following skills and experience are preferred: · Experience with F5 BIGIP · Experience with UNIX · Experience working with application developers to debug network-related problems affecting application usage and performance General requirements include extensive use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; superior verbal and written communications; attention to detail; and organizational skills. Prefer someone with an IT degree and experience in an ITIL environment. Milestones and Deliverables Reports as mandated by the contract and ad hoc reports for network information. Specific activities and deliverable due dates as defined by the contract. Acceptance Criteria Candidates must pass a background investigation, drug test, credit check and finger print investigation . Candidates must be U.S.citizens or possess a valid U.S. Immigration Service Work Permit "Green Card." No other INS status is acceptable. Place and Period of Performance This position must be performed in East Rutherford, NJ. Travel requirements to client locations are estimated at 5%.
