Description Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities (in order of priority) Responsible for the software and hardware development, installation, documentation and support of the manufacturing test plan for the nLM DWDM network solution Develop and refine existing VB.NET software to fully automate the test execution Procure, install and configure required test instrumentation and hardware Develop and support the automated optical networking manufacturing test infrastructure Partner with engineering staff to define and implement detailed testability requirements Provide fault isolation and identification capability to the manufacturing technical staff Drive end to end test yield improvements and test time reduction efforts Assist in strategy to identify failures early in the test process Utilize product functional and architectural knowledge to implement optimal test processes Key member of cross functional defect reduction team Instrument driver development (including VOA, optical switching, EDFA, and Optical Spectrum Analyzer) Familiarity with BER test, EEPROM programming, digital logic, and micro-controllers Data Base development using Microsoft SQL Server Responsible for continual improvement of test infrastructure Education / Experience (required or desired) BS in science or engineering required, MS or PhD desired (Physics, Optics, Electrical Eng) Minimum of 8+ years experience with networking industry related manufacturing test development Direct experience developing test solutions for passive and active optical subsystems Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (required or desired) Proven ability to develop software and hardware for fully automated test solutions of optoelectronic line cards or sub-assemblies Attention to detail and willingness to produce detailed test plan documentation Hands on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment including Optical attenuators, switches, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes Strong knowledge in statistical analysis of product test parameters and equipment measurement capabilities to establish required test specifications Proficient in VB.NET, Visual Studio, TestStand, JMP and SQL, or other relevant languages and technologies. ---------------------------------------------- Thanks and Best Regards, Paul VForce Inc. 10400 Rodgers Road Suite 150 Houston, Texas 77070 Email: p...@vforceinc.com Voice: 201-710-8278 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
