Role: Network Engineer Location: Lincoln, NE Duration: 2+ Years Rate: $35/hr *Project Description:* -The Network Engineer will work under general supervision, oversees the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems. -Plans and evaluates moderately complex existing network systems and makes recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels. -Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment. -Responsible for evaluating current systems and new products as assigned. -Provides resolution for network problems. -Assist in the planning of large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies providing assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture, and development of technical standards and interface applications. -Requires thorough knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, networks and applications with strong documentation and communication skills in both verbal and written forms. -Typically requires a Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least two years of experience in telecom networks and two to five years of experience in computers.
