Position: *Data Modeler * Location: Boston, MA Duration: 6 month contract Interview: F2F after the Phone Screen
Note: this role is perfect for a data modeler who is more into Relational Data Modeling and ER modeling This project will be the redesign of an existing data warehouse and ODS. The resources required will drive the re-establishment of a conceptual data model and drive that through the logical data modeling effort. This resource will also work closely with the DBA team to turn the logical model into a physical model. The current warehouse is on SQL Server though there is conversation about migrating to Netezza over time. The goal is to model for a database agnostic environment (not modeling for the current database). The senior data modeler should be able to work with SQL Server, however, and understand Cognos and SSRS (to provide insight into how the model supports reporting).
