Location: Houston, TX Duration:12 Months *Job Description:* • At least 2 years’ experience in implementing Big data based solution delivery. • Familiar with Hadoop tools/languages such as Pig, Hive, Hadoop Streaming, Sqoop, Oozie, etc • Solid understanding of MapReduce and how the Hadoop Distributed File System work • Solid understanding of data models / structures • Very strong SQL coding with the ability to design, write, and troubleshoot stored procedures, functions, and tables • Quantitative skills using statistical analysis • Familiarity with data dimension reduction techniques • Competency with the R statistical software package • Understanding of other ETL techniques for Hadoop environments • Understanding of Hadoop Infrastructure is preferable.
