Thanks..! *Role: Middleware Admin* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Location: Shelton, CT* *Job responsibility. * · The Production Support Engineer will handle the day-to-day operations of the application support activities. · The role will work closely with business stakeholders, product engineering, implementation, QA and other production support teams. · The team is responsible in providing technical support (level 2&3) to internal and external users. · The role needs to be able to support the application 24/7. And will be required to work in shifts. · The role requires the ability to provide rapid response to queues of incoming problem incidents, participate in root cause analysis (RCA) efforts. · The candidate needs to be comfortable in providing technical support that includes diagnosis of issues, performance and overall health monitoring, data fixes and updates, and configuration changes. · Requires a hands on person with strong troubleshooting skills. · Works in on-call support rotation among with peers. *Skills Required : * o Exposure to Web server technologies - Apache, IIS activities – Apache install and configure Apache Tuning . o Apache install and configure Apache Tuning, build apache from open source , configure and host web sites , certificate renewal, mod-jk, mod-cluster load balancing, plug-in config with application servers, troubleshooting mod-jk , workers, o Exposure to one or more latest application servers – Tomcat, Jboss, Nodejs, o Exposure to cluster creation , deployment , data source config, app server Tuning , very good hands on experience on troubleshooting issues. o Process and domain knowledge - Production Support and ITIL process. Hands on experience in Unix/Solaris/Windows flavours of application servers. o Clear understanding on Network, firewall, DNS, CPU, Memory, VMWare, Disk utilization. o Basic understanding on Oops concept and Java, J2ee technologies, Garbage collection/algorithms. Thread dump and heap dump analysis. o Monitoring Tools – Nagios/Icinga etc,. o NewRelic, Gomez etc.. o Configuration Management Tools – Puppet/Chef Hands on UNIX commands and shell scripting. o Message queues (ActiveMQ & RabbitMQ ..etc) o Should be a self-starter / motivator and should have the ability to stretch. o Should be a good in communication and is comfortable with working at all level of the management. o Should have the maturity to understand the business criticality and ability to identify & highlight risk/ gaps. o Should have the ability to influence, convince and manage stakeholders / internal / external auditors o Should have IT functional area exposure ( Network, Servers, Information Security, Security operations etc.) *Desired Skills: * Mongodb or NoSQL database. Nodejs and any other open source Application servers. Working Experience in ITIL Service Operations – Change Management, Configuration Management, Problem Management, Incident Management & Knowledge Management.
