DTMB requires an efficient Application Software Engineer to design and implement. Skills Required The Application Software Engineer must have the following skills and expertise: Application Software Engineer with 8 or more years of demonstrable working experience in application software design, development, and implementing of medium-to-large scale web-based systems and applications. The ability to work with a technical team and business experts in: analysis and design of complex Client/Server applications, Development, testing, debugging and Implementation of the Client/Server applications. Ability to execute and validate test plans for applications, Use programming knowledge to design and develop complex stored procedures Experience Required The Application Software Engineer must have the following experience: Application Software Engineer with 8 or more years of demonstrable working experience in application software design, development, and implementing of medium-to-large scale web-based systems and applications. Eight years’ experience programming in client/server applications Five years’ experience analyzing business requirements, generating project specifications and in turn developing code, and applying knowledge of computer programming techniques and computer languages Five years unit testing and performing peer reviews of developed code to insure conformity to standards and design best practices. Five years’ experience programming in SQL and/or Transact-SQL. Two years’ experience programming in the Power builder 9.0 or higher. Experience participating as a programmer/analyst in projects using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices. Expert level skills in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience Preferred The Application Software Engineer is preferred to have the following experience and expertise: Minimum two years’ experience, developing stored procedures using SQL, in an enterprise environment. Minimum two years’ experience development in Power Builder 9.0 or higher. Education Required This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
