The individual must have strong technical knowledge in SAP BASIS application areas to understand and guide technical installations for Enterprise wide solutions like SAP and Big Data. The individual will work with a global team of resources as well as direct managed service resources who are responsible for lights on SAP support. The individual will have the opportunity to help drive excellence by defining standards for technical implementations for SAP, SAP ancillary systems, and other key enterprise technologies. Extensive experience in managing technical projects, and collaboration with clients and other service providers is essential. Duties/Responsibilities: • Continuously research and understand new technology trends including current SAP or enterprise application technologies and be able to communicate clearly the business impact and benefits to the organization • Project planning and assisting others in ensuring they are using the proper techniques when schechedule their support work/projects. • Key role with Integration & Release & change management planning to ensure alignment of all teams with initiatives. • Lead and participate in SAP technical and other technical improvement projects implementing new processes, technologies, and infrastructures using standar project management methodologies. • Participate in Global Enterprise projects providing technical expertise and influencing technical decisions. • Perform planning for software installations, upgrades, testing, and configuration • Regularly review and perform preventative and corrective maintenance through Change Management processes and maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned down time. • Provide high level customer service support in daily problem and performance management through in-depth root cause analysis. • Written and verbal communication with both technical and non techncal audiences. • Drive availability , IT Service Continuity and disaster recovery processes and Service Level Agreements. • Plan, communicate, and coordinate between internal customers and infrastructure teams to deliver Basis services per service level agreement, e.g system refreshes, upgrades, etc. • Maintain and update technical documentation as well as cross-train other team members. • Manage customer relationships through understanding and anticipating customer’s immediate and future needss. • Participate in off hour scheduled and adhoc on-call duties. • Mentor Junior resources in project planning, decision making and technical skill building Qualifications- Required: • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience • Breadth of IT experience - 10+ years • 7+ years working in a SAP Basis position managing most the following: NetWeaver 7.0, ECC, BW, SCM, Live Cache, Enterprise Portal, CRM, PLM, Portal, Solution Manager, and Business Object. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Strong work ethic, self motivated, result-driven, and adaptable. • Experience leading technical projects and project resources.
