*Position: Websphere Portal Architect* *Location: Troy MI* *Duration: Long term* The requirement is for websphere portal architect with extensive experience in designing and developing portal applications using websphere portal server 7.0 and above. The candidate should have strong knowledge and experience on portal framework and other frameworks such as Struts, Spring and Hibernate. He/She should have experience in building JSR286, JSR168, IBM portlet APIs and customizing the themes and skins with personalized content. The candidate should be able to work well within diverse team of developers, leads, project managers, subject matter experts and be able to perform planning, design and development activities for banking systems. Duties & Responsibilities: Development duties will include (provide as much details as possible): - Architect, design, develop and implement portal solutions using IBM Websphere portal (7.x and above) based on Java/JEE framework. - Design and develop JEE components using spring and hibernate frameworks - Advice on and create best case practices that offer maximum performance and scalability. - Have good understanding of requirements and provide estimates for design, and development of required functionality - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Ensure quality of deliverables - Interface with other technical leads/developers to perform design and code walkthroughs. - General knowledge of system development life cycle - Experience working with multi-culture, distributed offshore and onshore development teams in dynamic and complex environment Skill, Experience & General information Required: Basic Technical Requirements - 4 to 5 years of experience on Websphere Portal Server 7.0& above - IBM portal APIs, JSR286 and JSR 168 portlets - Experience on frameworks struts, spring and Hibernate. - Strong JEE programming skills. - IBM Security suite access mgr – iSIM and PSIM experience an added advantage Desirable Skills - Exposure to the banking industry. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
