Notes:  The BA portion of the role is most important here.
MUST have BA experience in FULL LIFECYCLE DEVELOPMENT (if they have only
worked on a portion, they are not right for this position)
MUST have AGILE EXPERIENCE.

XML, Web Services and data exchange are great plus’ to have
Healthcare or SAAS background are great, but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as subject matter expert with understanding of interoperability,
long-term care settings, HIEs and other parties involved in data exchange
Develop an expert knowledge of user needs including but not limited to
industry operations, drivers and regulatory trends and user types and
patterns
Utilize established and emerging techniques and tools for creating
world-class software requirements
Collaborate closely with customers, certified partners, and end users to
understand detailed feature or functionality needs
Perform QA on interoperability connections and related system connections
Create and manage interfaces and connections using integration engine for
field mapping, troubleshooting, configuration and other duties
Understand and translate product and biz strategy into features and
functionality that deliver significant value to end users and clients
Execute an unwavering focus on current and prospective customer and market
needs and demands with an emphasis on how software and technology can solve
those challenges
Create detailed requirements and design of product functionality as part of
the business analyst-product manager-customer triangle. Requirements
documents for new products and enhancements could include workflow and
process diagrams, use cases, software requirements specification and
impact/gap analysis.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead new product development efforts despite ambiguity and lack
of previous development in this area
Understanding of client support issues and processes
Understanding of QA testing procedures
Verbal and written communication skills are important
Ability to perform simple queries for researching and route setup in SQL
Server Management Studio
Experience with SOAP UI or other web services testing application
Thorough understanding of interoperability concepts and standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with various audiences
including peer groups, customers, senior management, current and potential
partners and the industry at large

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration,
technology, business or marketing required
5-8 years’ total work experience with 3-5 years’ experience with
interoperability standards, technology and projects
Experience with preferably long-term care electronic health records
software or technology in the care continuum
Experience with projects integrating data and technology from disparate
systems and working with partner staff
Knowledge of and experience with Continuity of Care Documents (CCD)
Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (API) and Software
Development Kits (SDK)
Experience with Electronic Health Records or other clinical information
systems
Experience with or knowledge of business analysis principles and
methodologies
Knowledge and expertise of healthcare interoperability standards such as
HL7, Mirth, Direct and XDS
