Role: Lead Oracle DBA Duration: 11/30/2010 Location: Long Beach, CA Rate: $52/hr *Primary Skill Requirement: * DBADMIN, DEC, MS-SQL, RDBMS, VMS *Project Description:* DBA primarily for management of Rdb databases (DEC Rdb, purchased by Oracle), with additional experience with the flagship Oracle RDBMS and MS SQL products. Please ensure that the candidate is experienced in the Rdb product (not Oracle RDBMS, but DEC Rdb purchased by Oracle) We are seeking Senior DBA to lead maintenance and development of Rdb databases related to an existing major application on OpenVMS. *Skills:* • Candidate must have 5+ years experience as a primary DBA using Rdb, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Project/Team Leadership experience is also a requirement. • DBAs participate in after-hours on-call rotation, which is compensated. Position will be for day shift in Pacific time zone, but some flexibility in hours is granted. • Production Environment includes 18 production databases, and production application operates 24x7. • DBAs have responsibility for assisting 50 developers and QA testers with Rdb test environments as well. • Preference will be given to candidates who are also proficient with Oracle RDBMS and/or Microsoft SQL server products, as this environment has additional applications using these products. • Additional experience with JCC Logminer Loader, ODBC/JDBC connection, and Rdb Row Cache are also a "plus". -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
