Position: *Java developer with Cassandra- Comcast*
Duration: *6+ months*
Location: *Philadelphia, PA*
Visa’s: *EAD/OPT, EAD/GC OR USC*
*1st preference to LOCAL CANDIDATES*
* Qualifications*
1. 7+ years of CORE Java software development engineering experience
2. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills: verbal, written,
listening, including customer relationships
3. Experienced design and architecture knowledge, as well as familiarity
with object oriented design patterns
4. Experience in Java, client-server / service development including
threading (Executor), Queuing, and work with Futures
5. Experience with highly-scalable client-server applications and
distributed web service development (must have hands-on experience with
RESTful web services)
6. Experience in designing complex UI components/widgets and workflow
7. Critical thinker resulting in expert trouble shooting skills with an
in-depth knowledge of debugging and logging tools in a multi-threaded
environment
8. Experience with Database technologies like Cassandra, BIGData, NOSQL
technologies etc.
9. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
*Desired Skills: *
*10. *Experience designing, building and supporting APIs for third party
consumption
*11. *UNIX/Linux background
*12. *Familiarity with Agile development
*13. *Familiarity with data serialization formats like XML, JSON and
protocol buffers
