Gathers and analyzes requirements. Programs all or selected components of Web applications. Documents components and applications. Develops automation techniques to enable end-user content publishing; programs, tests and implements mapped graphic images, forms and HTML pages; handles client browser support inquiries; maintains links to external sites and accuracy on internal links while ensuring up-to-date information. Researches, evaluates and recommends new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities. This job at the senior level has experience in a variety of the more difficult Web tools and languages. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience and IT work experience in software development, installation and modification in an online environment. This position is necessary to resolve over 100 High and Critical security vulnerabilities which have been identified in LexMedex, an external facing application. These vulnerabilities need to be addressed to secure the application and AIG infrastructure from any potential security breach. Additionally, the application needs to be upgraded to utilize the current software standard, WAS7 to be in compliance with the AIGGS Data Center standard and compatable with RAD8.5. We are unable to complete this work in Production support. It is too much work for the one offshore developer. These tasks have been outstanding for over eight months. The developer needs to be onshore to work closely with Middleware, Change Control and the IT Security Group to complete these changes in a timely manner.Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications. Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Codes, tests, debugs, maintains and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency.
