*Role: Oracle Database AdministratorLocation: Atlanta, GA (Need Local Only F2F is required)Duration: Long Term Contract* *!! Note: Need Local candidates only F2F interview is required after telephonic !!* *Description*: • Proven track record in implementation and maintenance of Oracle databases in a challenging environment. • 7+ Years experience administering Oracle 9i/10g/11g databases, running on Linux, Solaris, AIX and HPUX. • Strong experience with database restores/recoveries. • Experience with RMAN, OEM, Grid Control, RAC, ASM / Raw File Systems and other Oracle features / tools. • Experience with installation, upgrade and patching Oracle software and maintaining DBMS Software in an enterprise infrastructure setting. • Experience with Data Guard & primary/standby databases as well as Oracle Advanced Replication. • Ability to provide technical direction to others, including application developers. • Ability and willingness to follow established database processes and procedures. • Ability and willingness to follow established procedures to protect corporate data resources against unauthorized access or accidental loss. • 4 year degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience in a related field of study. Responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise databases based on business area requirements. Identify, define, and implement database backup/recovery and security strategies. Install and support DBMS (Database Management Systems) software and tools. Perform various database activities which include monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and consulting. *Essential Responsibilities*: • Translate a logical data model or user specifications into a physical design. • Ensure the detailed physical design of data structures and database complies with enterprise standards, guidelines, policies, procedures, and processes. • Create physical database structures based on physical design for development, test, and production environments. • Coordinate with system engineers to configure servers for DBMS product installation and database creation. • Install, configure, and maintain DBMS product software on database and application servers. • Provide consultation to application development teams on DBMS product technical issues and techniques. • Provide on-call support for databases 7 X 24. • Responsible for database performance tuning, security, and database backup/recovery. • Implement monitoring procedures to maximize availability and performance of the database, while meeting defined targets. • Coordinate with system engineers to identify and resolve problems within the established SLA. • Identify opportunities for performance improvements, cost reductions and process improvements. • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve database problems. • Coordinate downtime with application development teams and system engineers to implement approved changes. • Interface with Software Vendors to answer questions or resolve performance issues. • Work with leadership and others on the Database Administration team to accomplish team objectives. *Thanks & Regards,* *Shaik SamiSenior Resourcing SpecialistEmail: sha...@systelcomputers.com <sha...@systelcomputers.com>Direct: 678-250-9871 Ext: 260Certified (MBE) Minority Business Enterprise.* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
