Our client, located in the *Atlanta, GA*, is currently seeking a *Sr. System Test Engineer* resource to join their organization. *Role: Sr. System Test EngineerLocation: Atlanta, GADuration: Long Term Contract* *Description*: 5+ years experience. Sr. Test Engineer job description has been developed to support both the testing functions in the System Test and Integration Test environments. System Test Engineer is responsible for creating and leading master test plans, test cases, and test schedules for the projects. Primary responsibilities include the execution of test cases and scenarios across individual development projects within the System Test environment. Ensures established methodologies and standards are used in product testing. Integration Test Engineer has responsibility for providing mentoring support to the project team throughout the Development Lifecycle. This mentoring begins in the requirements development phase to ensure all requirements are both testable and verifiable, and continues through system test. The Integration Test Engineer is responsible for conducting Integration test and to support the implementation methodologies of new documented, standardized, repeatable testing processes. This resource must fit within our team dynamic, must work well within our team and with our team members, and must contribute to the flexibility and synergy of our team because a team working as a unit and moving in the same direction can accomplish so much more than an individual. As the project this tester will be working will be complicated, challenging, large, test data intensive, will cover many applications and sub applications, SQL and DB2 intensive, time sensitvive, and of critical importance to the organization, *T**he tester must*: - be a great team player with a positive, upbeat and open attitude - be a go getter and a hard charger - consistently show a sense of urgency in completing tasks on time - have great written and oral communication skills - be easy to understand in written, oral, and non-verbal communications - be technically savy, technically smart - be a quick thinker, able to figure things out quickly - be an expert at finding, creating, updating test data through any means necessary wether it be through scripting tools or SQL statements or any other means necessary - have a great memory and do not forget things as you learn them (can also take good notes) - be able to use tools like power point and visio and be able to diagram process and data flows - be an expert with the HP Quality Center product (a nice to have would be the HP QTP and LoadRunner products) - as this project will be a replatforming from unix to linux of many applications written in c++, java, sql, ..., the tester MUST have extensive unix/linux scripting skills. - have great analytical, research, and invesitigative skills - have a developer background as the day to day work will require a lot of interaction with our development teams.
