*Position: Release Manager/ Project Management* *Location: Phoenix, AZ* *Duration: 6 months CTH* Responsible for coordinating software release activities and communications to ensure that quality releases are delivered on time and budget. This role is responsible for the management and coordination of multiple Releases across multiple programs and to ensure that the best practices are followed during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Principal duties and responsibilities: • Implement a thorough rollout plan for all applications supported, coordinating major and minor releases. • Create and manage release roadmap • Create and publish a quality release plan/schedule for multiple project releases; • Coordinate the “parallel” release of multiple software deployments across multiple teams, groups, and sites; • Oversee the deployment/un-installation of new or old software (this includes applications, database changes, configuration changes, etc.); • Test the release process to ensure that there will be minimum disruption to the Production environment and eliminate major risk factors • Establish Entrance Criteria Checklist for release to production and ensure that the criteria are met for each and every release. • Review preparation for the release to ensure successful deployments • Create rollback plans, and document situation escalation paths; • Work close with SCM entities to ensure the integrity of a release. • Track, monitor, and document releases; • Conduct frequent audits of all deployments; • Issue quarterly KPIs and other release metrics to Management; • Conduct frequent management level reviews of the overall deployment process; • Create, implement and improve Release policies and procedures to govern releases; • Creation of a roles and responsibility matrix for release management and its members QUALIFICATIONS: • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technical field or equivalent experience/training • 5-7 years’ experience in Release Management and/or application development • Experience with organizational change management • 7-10 years’ experience in project management using tools (i.e. MS Project) and excellent planning skills • Ability to work in a collaborative environment using source control and other development toolsets • Experience in leading, creating, enhancing and/or implementing guidelines and best practices for release management • Experience with SOA, BizTalk and Web Services. • Full SDLC experience; Agile/SCRUM experience preferred • Ability to work with a team of highly experienced senior software developers, testers, and technical writers. • Understanding of technologies including applications, database design, networking, telecommunications and connectivity. • Experience in moving projects from initiation through deployment and support. • Experience or good knowledge of programming and scripting languages.(MS Visual Basic, ASP .NET, Java Script, C++, C-Sharp, XML, WSDL, BizTalk) • Exposure to MQ Series and WCS • Experienced in Windows 7 and UNIX environments • Excellent prioritization, time management/multi-tasking skills • Flexibility and adaptable to changing environments • Airline and/or Airline Maintenance/Engineering experience preferred • Good written and verbal communication skills *Qualification Rating* *Must Have* *AACompany Default Category* *ITIL certified * and 2 Yrs.* *Project Management * and 5 Yrs.* *Release Management * and 5 Yrs.* *Gurjant (Gary) Singh* Technical Recruiter Amerit Consulting, Inc. t 925.297.5994 | f 1.925.406.0505 gsi...@ameritconsulting.com | www.ameritconsulting.com [image: Description: Description: cid:image001.jpg@01CE2F9E.8ACE7ED0] *BUSINESS ON A HUMAN SCALE* *A Member Company of **Evergent Group* <http://www.evergentgroup.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
