Role: Senior Java Software Developer with Endecas Location: Piscataway, NJ Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $50-55/hour *Responsibilities: * We are seeking a Search Engine Expert preferably with experience in implementing *Endecas* search and information access solution, to join their design and development team. All tasks are performed under a full lifecycle methodology and software developers participate in requirements definition, applications design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment activities. The successful candidate will work with other developers in providing IT solutions to implement an enterprise wide search solution. *Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:* • Performs analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of search and information access solutions using industry standard search engines. • Analyzes and helps define high-level software strategies and solutions through functional and technical expertise and an understanding of the enterprise, business system • Creates detailed design specification for application components based on the requirements • Integrates technical and application components to meet business requirements • Ensures that software requirements are accurately reflected in detailed designs and coded modules • Confers project standards and procedures related to configuration management throughout the application software development/maintenance life cycle • Confers with IT management on administrative policies and procedures related to technical problem resolution, and priority management that relate to the system support and maintenance • Provides production and operations support • Performs other related duties as assigned *Requirements:* • Must have a BS Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent • Must have a minimum of 6+ years in the software development lifecycle of commercial/business software applications • Must have in-depth experience in web-enabling and/or designing and developing systems as Internet /Intranet applications • Must have in-depth knowledge of Web-based search and retrieval technology, Knowledge of *Endeca *is must, Oracle database, Oracle PL / SQL and Oracle call Interface (OCI) programming • Must have hands-on experience with web technology products (J2EE, Java, Servlets, Java scripting, EJB e-commerce, HTML, XML, XSLT, etc.) and software enterprise applications (architecture/design, middleware, messaging, etc.) • Must be able to develop code and implement a state of the art enterprise search solution • Must have familiarity with Object oriented analysis and design JSF, JSP and GUI design • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must be energetic, self motivated, team player *Desired Skills :* • Additional experience and/or advanced degree preferred • Experience designing and developing web-based and client/server applications with any industry standard search engine • Other desired skills and experience include: full lifecycle systems/software development/integration experience, component-based development • Working knowledge of Section 508 and Search engine optimization is desired -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
